Mom's 59th birthday

21st Oct was mom's birthday. It was a Wednesday.

Recently, her knee is not that good, aches and sort of cramps are bothering her. She can't walk properly, she said her leg feels very stiff when walking.

So she visits the doctor she used to visit and has acupuncture therapies. The doc advised her to have some herbs soup in the other branch of theirs, which is a restaurant.

A restaurant with theme of healthy. She got discounts voucher for buying the herb soup therapy. So on her birthday, she treat me dinner. ^_^

They served us glasses of refreshing drinks first.
I love the taste of sourish with a little bit sweetness.

The soup for me, taste like "Bak Kut Teh".

Mom's 凉拌面线.
Uh... I don't know what is it called in English.... :P

My Rib Bone Rice set.
It's absolutely tasty!!!
The rice is actually Red Yeast Fried Rice.
The taste is quite radical, you'll either love it or hate it.
I love it :)

It was a good time spending with mom. She insisted to pay and doesn't want me to buy anything for her. In the end, I bought a lipstick for her when I was in 1U yesterday. Hopefully her knee will recover very soon... she has been absent to her choir for a month already. She is also going to Bangkok with me in December, hopefully her knee is fully recovered by then.

Oh, the restaurant is in Bukit Sri Bintang, near SJK (C) Kepong 3. Name is 红曲馆.
More updates soon. Ciao Ciao~

First time we cooked in Marybone

After a few days, we settled down and planned for "The Big Saving Plan"!!
How to save our money of course, as we were spending £ (pounds), not Ringgit... T_T

So, we girls (6 all together) in Flat 32, were separated into 2 teams, took turns in preparing dinners. We also had 2 guys from Flat 31, they managed the cleaning of dishes and garbage (they did really good jobs, better than us girls in cleaning @@).

On the forth day in Liverpool, we started our big plan!

Team A- Jane, Rachel and Zoe.

We did not take any pics of the food.... I guess because we're all too hungry and ate everything in just minutes. :D
But I have loads of pictures of the food I ate during the days there. Wait for another blog la~

After we took the first dinner we cooked..........................

We took pictures!!
Take 1. Happy and formal.

Take 2. Getting a bit... hmm... abnormal?? Hahaha

Take 3. A lot messier.

Take 4. Some crazy fellas and a few funny looking peeps.
Guess who's the most piggiest??

Take 5. Theme is "非主流" (non-mainstream)
We're talented, I know. >.<

Take 6. We see our dreams~~ and we're heading to them!!

After dinner and all the shooting moments, it was around 10.30pm already.
I'm lying?? Definitely not.
That's how it looks like during Summer.

That's all for this post. Too little pictures, we were too hungry~ Sorry~~~
Wait for the next! Ciao Ciao~~

Day out with Mom and Bro

It was on a Saturday, where brother and mom purposely accompanied me to get my long-waiting camera that I want. Mom's knee was quite stiff and pain that day, but she still insisted to tag along. Bro and I had to let her way in.

We reached at 1 Utama first, then we asked mom to sit on the bench near where we going to eat and ask her to wait there. As we're going to walk around between the two wings.

We went to Foto Shangrila, Fotokem, one that I can't remember its name and Foto Suria. Foto Suria's shopkeeper was a fagged which trying to "persuade" me rudely, to buy a Sony don't know what model.

All four camera shops in 1Utama we went, no more stocks. T_T Or perhaps, they didn't even take in the model I want. I just want a Panasonic Lumix FZ35, what's so difficult???

In the end, I bought four cds and bro bought a few movies. Then he brought us to Vietnam Kitchen for lunch.

Nice deco they have there.

Being artistic there.

It's quite a busy restaurant.

Btw, those on the wall are Vietnamese hats.

Mom's "7 precious" 七宝冰.

Bro's Vietnam Coffee.

Mine! Soursop Milk Shake.

Some prawns~

Some ketchup beef~

Some Lotus Roots~

Full~ Full~ It billed at a reasonable price. Affordable. :)

I didn't give up, we left 1 Utama and headed to Cineleisure for the search of my camera. Finally, I found this shop, which has no stock either, but promising that they'd be getting the stock latest by Thursday. So I paid him deposit.

* But on Thursday, he still had not called me yet. On Friday, a worker in the shop finally rang me and told me the bad news. Panasonic doesn't have the stock still, I can get my deposit back or just leave it there until the stock is here. *

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm still waiting....... :(

I really feel so sad... I've been wanting it, waiting it and when I finally going to buy it, they have no stock. Panasonic!! You really don't have the stock or just trying to create the hype???!!! Some kind of marketing tactics???!!! @#$%^&*

I'M FURIOUS!!! GRRRRRRR!!!!

My neighbour's Golden.
Welcoming me home~
:D A girl and a boy~

窒息

I can only express my feelings writing in Chinese now....

First day in The Dean Walters Building

3rd June 08, the first time for all of us to step in to The Dean Walters Building- the place where we had all the tutorial classes, supervisor meetings and seeing the program supervisor.

It's a very lovely place. Next to the Liverpool Cathedral, meadows and flowers around, cool breezes blowing all the time. I love the weather the most.

Opposite of the classrooms.
Hostel for students if not mistaken.
And it's definitely pricey to stay there.

The classrooms.

The meadow~

That's the Liverpool Cathedral.
It's very nice inside, will post about it later~

At that moment, I was feeling so touched.
I was thinking:" I'm here!! In Liverpool!!"

Nice colourful leaves~
Keeping my hands warm in the pockets.
Was still the first week, still feeling a bit cold.

I really miss those plants....

With Zoe and Pin Pin~

The grass is really green!!

Everyone is looking good in this picture. =)

I this the most.
We all looked so happy and natural.

Why was I opening my leg so wide???

The flat 32 girls~

I really look like the "eye" for a smiley face :)

Another nice pic~

Yay~ let's get through these hectic months together~

It was a very windy day~
The beautiful Liverpool Cathedral behind me.

That's about it for the first day~ Wait and see for more *wink wink*
ciao ciao~

Induction- Britannia Adelphi Hotel

After a couple of days, we settled down and went for the university induction. It was on the 2nd of June.

So, we walked to Britannia Adelphi Hotel which the induction was held. It was quite near to where we were staying.

There. The hotel.
If not mistaken, I remember this is the only hotel I've seen so far in Liverpool.

Inside the hall.
I like the ceiling with the hanging lamps as decoration.

Hahaha... only my face in visible in this pic.

We were served with "rice" and "curry". Let me tell you why I put on the symbols. The "rice", was more like half cooked rice added with lots of water @@ while the "curry", I've no idea how to describe. Hmmm.... more like ketchup with lots of ketchup?? LOL

After the meal, we're brought to tour around Liverpool on the coach.

Very creative advertisement.

Then I spotted this funny man on the Lewis's building.

Closer look.
Tell me, what kind of posing is that?? LOL

The KOP.
Wait for my coming up post in a few weeks time.
We visited the stadium. :)

Arrived somewhere in a hill with very nice meadow.
See how Jane posed.

The JR group.
Our companion during the time in UK.

The MS group~

Another one~

And all of us together~
We cooked and makan together on every weekends.

Ho ho ho~

Then I found this cute little thing~
Too bad I've forgotten its name....
Well, I'll name you Red Collie then~

The friendly owner was trying to coax it to look straight at me,
so that I could have a nice picture.
I love Liverpool~ *especially the elderly*

The Albert Dock~

It was quite a fun day. Next post, my first day at The Dean Walters Building. The place where we had our tutorials.

Ciao Ciao~~
