Tom Yam Meehoon

Hi. Welcome to Jenn's kitchen. LOL!!

This entry is dedicated to 2 persons that were asking about what I was going to cook for dinner the other night. Nah~~~~ here's the recipe~~~~~~~ Henri and Mr. Kooi listen up!

The ingredients you need:

Chinese Cabbage. I put one baby Chinese Cabbage (can feed 2 pax usually) this time. I love vege~

Slice the chicken into pieces of cubes or whatever shape that you like.
But most importantly, follow the lines/ patterns of the meat.

Add a few drops of soy sauce and white/ black pepper.
Mix and massage thoroughly.

Meehoon (rice noodles) of course!
uh.... portion.... for your liking.
I put too much last time, my stomach was near to explosion.

The core of this dish, the Tomyam paste!!

Steps to cook:

1. When the water is boiling, add in 2 spoon fulls of Tomyam paste.
If you're worried that it might be too spicy, put one spoon full 1st, then slowly add more until you're fine with it.

2. Add in the Chinese Cabbage first.
Add the leaves later.

3. Add in the marinated chicken slices.

4. Add the meehoon and cook a few minutes.
If you like softer meehoon like me, cook longer.

5. If you want to have egg, add it after you put the meehoon.

Done!! Such a big bowl!! Can you see???!!!

After 10 mins....

After an hour.......
I nearly couldn't go to sleep on time that night as my stomach was over filled!!

Ok, it's very simple to cook right?? If you're wondering, how come I didn't add like salt or anything into the soup, it's because the vege and chicken and tomyam paste have given all the sweet and salty tastes! :D Enjoy~~~~~~ Have fun cooking!

Oh hai! It's been such a long time!

Feeling so bad that I neglected my beloved bloggy for such a long time~ So it's time to update some tiny bits of what have been going on :)

Hubby was in total mess. So I brought him to "sai bak bak".

One last view of KL tower from AMM pantry.

One last special pork balls with prawn soup at aunty's place.

With Nithia. She gave me a teddy before I left ♥

It was sad to leave my beloved colleagues... Well, ex-colleagues for now.

Mug Zoe bought me for my 1st day at AMM and postcard from Taiwan Echo gave me.

This teddy from Nithia, has pattern on both of its feet, like Carebears.

Nice ribbon~ or bow tie?

Cute patch on its chest too... but not as big as Carebears'.

My last day in AMM was on the 30th (Friday), and I started this new job on the 3rd of May. No pause, no rest. I'm power! Woot! hahahaha.

A bunch of new stationary I got at work....

The view from my place.

Hello~~ Can you tell I dress in a more proper way now? Hahahaha Because in this new company, I cannot simply put on lousy shirts and slippers anymore T.T

My room sharing with... uh... don't know how many persons... It's basically me and 4 other colleagues. But when the auditors are not attached to any company, they'd just join the "FUN". ^^

Because I'm working in a certification body, we've our very own certification as well. We're just awarded with the OHSAS (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment) 18001. It's a certificate to protect and provide the best working environment for employees. So, I'm new, I was given a body check up at Twin Tower Medical Centre KLCC.

I had x-ray scanned, blood drew, urine tested and some other basic body check-up routine. Quickly, I changed to my fancier plaster :P instead of boring white cotton and plaster.

That night, my arm turned to be like THIS!!
I've no idea why every time blood drawing of mine will leave such horrible marks.
It took a week to go off >.<

Sometime ago, had lunch with Zoe at 1Utama.

Sushi Zanmai~

Yes, I'm quite boring... every time ordering almost the same dish. :P

Soft shell crab maki~ ♥

Very nice egg yolk~

Then we met Michelin!!

He's so cute lo!! Once he saw me shooting at him, he posed this way. LOL. muaks~~~

Last Saturday, I had my Beginner 1 Japanese exam.
Was so nervous I nearly peed in my pants (jk la).
During the oral, I was an idiot (almost).
Sense :"Are you Japanese?"
Jenn:"My Japanese is very lousy."
Sense almost laughed until fainted. Till I got conscious and quickly answered, I'm not a Japanese. Sorry sense~~~~~

Thank God, I did very good in the exam. :D

Ok, that about it.... I'm currently enjoying my lifestyle la... Go to work on time, back home on time. Luckily, KTM is kind and has improved a lot... so I don't have to waste time doing the never ending waiting for the next train that kind of stupid thing.
I have also been "stranded" for too long, it's time for me to back to the business!! Oh, clubbing kind of business. :D That's all for now. Ciao ciao~~~

Morning!

It's not a good thing to have no access to Facebook at work... I feel like I've lost connection with my friends there >.<

They're (IT) too good to have blocked almost all my entertainment that I need at work to kill some boredom. But luckily, I still can access my blog.

I've been lazy, leaving my blog frozen for more than 2 weeks >.< I have nothing to write about, no event, no outting, nothing happens. I have a boring no, peaceful life, yes.

I'm happy to work at my new place. Although the job is well, boring again, but the peeps around here are nice and some are really funny.

Oh, did I say my there are many different kinds of people working here in KL office? So far that I know, Malay, Chinese, Indian, Singh as usual; then I found French, Scottish, Belgian, German, uh... they're all caucasian as a conclusion. Not that these people are all in high positions, there are some in ordinary positions.

After induction then only I found out, actually we can apply to transfer, as long as there is a position to be filled, then the application would be successful! YAY~~~ I likey~~~~ It's a very good news as there are more than 140 offices around the world. Woot!

My work place located in Dayabumi building. Until today, I still haven't gotten the access card to enter the building/office yet. So every morning I have to register myself at the counter to get a visitor pass. When I arrive at the front door, I'd have to wait any of my colleague going in/out of the office, then only I could get in. But the good thing is, I get to meet many people from different department.

This morning, David came and talked to me. Uh.... he's incharge of accounts if I'm not mistaken. I was told he's a cold and a bit of arrogant kind of colleague. But well, I don't think he is as he always being nice to me. :D

Another colleague of mine called Evelyn, she's the one in the same position as me but has been working for almost 3 years until today. Another nice lady who is very patient to me. I'm glad to meet so many nice people here.

Well, got to start working now. Share more again next time. Here, I wish everyone to be successful and happy and healthy and handsome/pretty and earn more money!!! ^_^
Adios~~~

1st of May, not Labour Day

1st of May, it means something other than just a Labour Day to everyone in my family. My gung gung (grandpa) actually died on this day. Every year, we'll pay a visit to his grave and po po's too at Nilai Memorial Park.

This 1st of May which had just passed, was actually the 10th year gung gung has left us. So uncle made last Saturday something more special to remember our dear parents and grandparents.

So early in the morning at 8pm, we had to go to the church my grandparents used to go, for a thanksgiving service. After a senior and another senior's senior made their speeches, my eyes had ady filled with water. Then uncles and aunty went on the podium to give speeches. I had finished all my tissues and I guess, I was the only one crying non- stop.

I don't know why, I just couldn't control my tears from falling. It was a hard morning for me. Maybe it was all because the ups and downs (more of these) that I had been through recently.... Thinking of myself losing my grandparents, father, friends and pets just made my rubber band snapped...... Dear God, give me strength, to be courage and look forward.

Graveyard is not this scary and gloomy....
I just used the "pinhole" effect to get this feel.

It was a very very very hot day indeed.
Even sunglasses couldn't help me...

These are the newer graves... "nobody" is lying down there YET.

Behind gung gung and po po's place is this nice scenery.
Very peaceful and comfortable there.....

The beautiful and colourful flowers we brought.

My cousin brother, Arn.

This is the scene gung gung and po po looking everyday.

After the rain.... I went to our garden to snap some pictures.
I'm quite satisfied and happy with what I've captured.

我们就像是落在布袋莲上的雨点,就碰巧地在同一个地方遇上了... 太阳出来后,我们就蒸发了... 但是,有一天我们总会变成雨点,不期然地又落在同一个地方,聚集在一起...这就是缘分。 :)

We met each other randomly just like the rain drops falling on the same spot; when the sun appears, it'd turn vapour... but one day, we would fall onto the same spot and meeting each other again... We call it as fate. :)

I love the details my camera captured.
Although it's not power enough to do micro pictures yet. :)

Lulu having her sweet time... =)

It's obvious her eyes are not in good condition.
She's completely blind caused by cataract, can see the blurriness in her eyes?

Brownnie wasn't in the mood to pose that afternoon.
This is his best shot. :)

Hmm... I think I wrote this blog till it looks all emo and moody. I'm okay, I'm okay. :)

I guess it's more like blogging based on the "feel" and "mood" of the pictures. Hope you all enjoy the nice pictures, well, hope it's nice to you all as well. Ciao ciao~~~~
